Health Care Evaluation and Quality Improvement

In today's environment, health care evaluation programs are required components of most grants, research endeavors, and quality improvement efforts. Health care evaluations ensure that a program or project is being implemented, monitored, and updated according to plan; the information collected helps prove the program's value. Formal program evaluation also allows valuable information to be collected and disseminated so that organizations can learn from each other and leverage their limited resources.

Program evaluation is a systematic, iterative process of looking at program processes and outcomes. An essential discipline in the practice of quality improvement, it is endorsed by organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The Joint Commission, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).

Insight Therapeutics is experienced in developing health care evaluation strategies. We are passionate about quality and consider program evaluation to be crucial to quality improvement wherever older adults receive care, be it in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, pharmacies, medical offices, community centers, or their own homes.
